Case study · Flagship Client work
S&P USA & Soler & Palau Canada
Corporate marketing websites — US & Canada
- Problem
- Two market sites needed steady front-end work, stronger technical SEO, and reliable content operations, with requests arriving from marketing, sales, product, and engineering — often informally and on short timelines.
- My role
- Primary Web Developer, Marketing
- Outcome
- Steady, dependable web operations across two markets — an 80%+ increase in measured organic search visibility during the period, plus consistent branded experiences and a component-and-content workflow non-technical teams could rely on.
Overview
For three years I was the primary in-house web developer in the marketing department, responsible for the day-to-day build and upkeep of the U.S. and Canadian corporate websites for an international ventilation manufacturer.
Role & ownership
I owned front-end implementation, site maintenance, digital brand consistency, and web content across both markets. In addition to development, I wrote and refined product, application, landing-page, and campaign copy—turning technical information and stakeholder requests into clear, customer-facing content. I did not design or rebuild every part of the corporate platform; the screens shown here represent pages, components, content, and tooling I built or led.
Constraints
- Enterprise environment on IIS with web.config-driven routing and redirects
- Bilingual EN / FR-CA content requirements across two market sites
- Non-technical stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, and engineering
Technical approach
I combined front-end development, web design, technical SEO, and content strategy to improve the complete website experience. This included building reusable components, establishing consistent visual and content patterns, refining messaging and calls to action, translating engineering-heavy product information for customers, managing redirects and structured data, supporting analytics and accessibility, and coordinating U.S. and Canadian EN/FR-CA content.
Key decisions
- Established consistent layouts, messaging patterns, and calls to action across product and application pages
- Translated technical product information into accessible, search-focused customer copy
- Maintained digital brand consistency across the U.S., Canadian, and Premium Choice web experiences
- Balanced SEO requirements with product accuracy and the established brand voice
- Used reusable components and templates to keep pages consistent and easier to maintain
- Treated accessibility, semantics, analytics, and technical SEO as part of “done”
Results
- 80%+ increase in measured organic search visibility during the period
- Two corporate markets supported (US & Canada)
- Bilingual EN / FR-CA content supported
