At a glance/ summary
- Problem
- Consistent social publishing is repetitive and time-consuming, but fully automated posting is risky. The goal was to automate the busywork while keeping human judgment on final approval.
- My role
- Full-Stack Developer
- Outcome
- A working idea-to-publish pipeline with human approval built into the flow.
Overview
A content-automation platform that drafts, schedules, and publishes Instagram posts, keeping a human in the loop before anything goes live.
Role & ownership
Full-stack developer — backend API, frontend, data model, and third-party integrations.
Technical approach
A FastAPI backend with SQLModel/SQLite handles generation, scheduling, and state. A Next.js/TypeScript frontend provides review and control. OpenAI drafts content, Wikimedia supplies media, and the Instagram Graph API publishes — with explicit human review gates before anything is posted.
Key decisions
- Human review gates before publishing, so automation never posts unattended
- FastAPI + SQLModel for a typed, lightweight backend
- Scheduled generation and publishing decoupled from review
